FAMILY HISTORIES
The following list of village residents was compiled from the Glencoe Store Account records for the years 1913 through 1916. In other words, if a resident owed the village store at the end of the year, their name would appear in this record.
Over time, the plan is to figure out who everyone was and their family relationships. This list will then gradually transform itself into a series of family histories, as they pertain to Glencoe. If you have knowledge of any of the persons below, please send a writeup of what you know about their history while living and working at Glencoe. There will not be enough room to give a complete genealogical history of every family, but I will be glad to provide a link to a separate family genealogy page, if one is available. To send me an e-mail message, click HERE.
Note that a few people may be listed twice because of the way they were entered in the records. For example, John Henry Smith may be listed as J. H. Smith one year and John Smith in a different year.
